The HD2 comes with a super setup utility that goes through setting up your mail, your Wi-Fi connections, your carrier, and even your social media sites. There is a tutorial on how to use the onscreen keyboard too. The device is really thorough and it would be a shame not to share that aspect with you too. Hit the break to see this 10 minute video. Motorola Droid Unboxing and Hardware Tour Video

The Droid has finally invaded Mobilitysite. Well, there are already a few Droid owners contributing to Mobilitysite, but they haven’t gotten around to sharing their thoughts yet. Maybe they are too busy enjoying the phone. Even though I got sick of all the buzz and ad saturation of this Droid launch, I feel the device is one that I would considering using longterm. Sony Aino Video 1st Look

Here is a non-smartphone that I have had the opportunity to check out recently. This one of the expensive though. It retails around $500-600. I am not entirely sure if that is worth it these days, but it is an unlocked phone. If you went out and bought an HTC Tilt 2 off contract, you’d pay around the same. I posted about this one a couple weeks ago to announce that it was now available.

For unlocked purists and style seekers, the Sony Ericsson Aino phone is a 3G-enabled mobile phone that offers on-the-go entertainment and rich multimedia features. Entertainment options are nearly limitless – capture photos, listen to music, view videos and access content from your PlayStation3 console and home PC with its unique Remote Play, Media Home, and Media Go features. Providing a superior user experience, the Aino phone offers integrated Wi-Ficonnection, an intuitive touch screen display and a dazzling 8.1 Megapixel camera. I really can’t do the T9 think whatsoever, so this one is not one I would personally use. It’s a very well done phone on the software side though. Many of the features really had me saying, “Wow”. One of the big draws with this phone is the easy to use media software and the ability to access and view media from your PS3.

Video 1st Look – Samsung Moment on Sprint (Unboxing and Hardware)

Here is an Android phone that didn’t get much press because of all the hype some of the other Android devices are getting. This one is a Plain Jane Android release with no extra UI layer on top of it. After I did the unboxing and hardware tour video (after the break), I spent an hour getting familiar with it and I was pretty impressed. I know I was impressed with the Hero, but I attributed the great experience to HTC and Sense UI. With this experience tonight, I feel Android has come a long way in a short period of time. The 1st video is the unboxing and hardware comparison that I shared here already. The next one is a 30 minute software tour. I could have made the video 20 minutes, but I fumbled a couple times and it ran a little long. The last one is how to do a hard reset, wipe the device, and total power off of the Zune HD. Sprint HTC Hero Video Camera Test

Sprint HTC Hero Video 1st Look

Enjoy. Pardon the video if the quality isn’t great. I am getting on the horse and trying a new software to produce video and I accepted their auto process and upload to YouTube. If it doesn’t come out good, I will try other things next go around.

LG Incite Hands On Video 1st Look

Yesterday AT&T announced the LG Incite. The Incite is an attractive Windows Mobile 6.1 phone with a 3″ touchscreen and a 1300mah battery. It has an adequate amount of memory and a 528mhz processor. I am not too sure how well I will do without an actual keyboard (slide out or front facing). Unless LG has added some touches to the default Windows Mobile keyboard, I will most likely have to try a 3rd party on screen keyboard.

In this video, I just rip the box open, show the goodies you get inside and do a quick look at the hardware. The software walk through will come later.

Some readers/viewers here and on Youtube have mentioned that the videos are sometimes too long and that I should break them up into easier to eat portions. I am going to try that out for the next couple video 1st looks.

HTC FUZE Video 1st Look from Mobilitysite

Thanks to HTC, I have had the chance to use the HTC Fuze for a little bit prior to launch. In this entertaining 20+ minute video, I unbox the FUZE, compare it with other hot devices, and give a laymen’s software walk through.
