This is the biggest time of the year for many to get the gadgets and toys they want. For the teens, it’s the time when Santa opens up his wallet to get them that new Zune, iPod, or killer Pocket PC Phone they always wanted. For the grown ups, it’s the time when their spouse finally gives in to buy them that new 60 inch HD LCD. Even single folks will get themselves a little something to call it a gift to themselves....

The Aximsite/Mobilitysite 5 year Birthday Party…
Since Aximsite and Mobilitysite are in effect the same site now, I am going to merge their celebrations insteal of having two 5 year anniversary celebrations this year. I think this will make it much easier moving forward. On December 12th, Aximsite hits 5 years.

A Little Unexpected Downtime, again

This time for great reasons.
In Aximsite’s peak, we were up to 3 servers to handle the load. Since the Axim has been discontinued, Aximsite’s forums (now Aximsite/Mobilitysite Forums) have declined since we peaked at an Alexa Ranking of 5000 or so. That said, the need and financial means for 3 servers has gone away. We dropped down to 2 servers earlier this year and down to 1 in the last couple months....

I am so sorry that we were down today. I am mad, but what can I do. We were at the mercy of the hosting company, who was at the mercy of the phone company, who was at the mercy of some idiots that cut into 72 fiber optic cables between my town and Birmingham, Alabama.

I’ll Start with the Contest Announcement.I left 4Smartphone.net as my Exchange Hosting Provider based on their ridiculous rollout of Exchange Server 2007 a month or so ago. I went with Sherweb. I haven’t had any troubles until Friday night. 90% of my email from reports, individuals, contact forms, etc all go to my @aximsite.com account. I have those emails forwarded by my mail server to Sherweb’s servers...
