Problem: Users of the AT&T Tilt (BKA: HTC TyTN II) who have upgraded to the WM6.1 ROM are no longer able to sync their appointments up to the Exchange server; however, you can still receive Calendar appointments down from Exchange to the device and all other items (Inbox, Contacts, Tasks) sync up and down correctly over the air.

Previous advice from multiple forums advises temporarily switching from a Time Zone and back fixes it, but that only lasts for 24 hours or until the next reset/power cycle of the device.

Here is the workaround I’ve received directly from HTC Support – in theory, this should last until DST changes:

• Go to: Start > Settings, tap on Phone, then switch to the Time zone tab and Uncheck the box to auto adjust for daylight savings time, then OK to save.
• Returning to the Settings screen, change to the System Tab, tap on Clock & Alarms (You can access this also by returning to your Today screen and tapping on the Time or Clock plug-in.
• Change your Time Zone to GMT 0 London, Dublin.
• Sync to the server wirelessly via Active Sync.
• After a successful sync return to the Clock settings and change back to your current Time Zone.
• Sync to the server wirelessly via Active Sync.

Again, this should be fine until DST changes.  At that point one will have to either manually change the time and sync or just repeat the above process – only time will tell.
