Dell adds an option to throw in built in AT&T 3G with your new order of a Dell Mini 9. I say new because this option is not able to be gotten after market. Configure it into your Mini 9 order now, or never. For an additional $125 you can configure the Mini with an embedded WWAN solution – no drivers to download, no tech support calls needed. There is a $120 mail in rebate for customer who activate their built in AT&T with a new two year AT&T DataConnect Service plan. That leaves me out.

Now you can get broadband speeds with your Dell laptop without cables or searching for a hotspot. AT&T’s BroadbandConnect gives you 3G network speeds, with typical downloads from 700 kbps – 1.7 Mbps. AT&T has broad U.S. wireless data coverage thanks to BroadbandConnect service in nearly 350 major metro areas. Beyond those markets, you can connect seamlessly to AT&T’s high-speed national EDGE network covering over 17,000 cities and reaching more than 250 million people, and growing. A Dell laptop with integrated AT&T BroadbandConnect allows you take your office with you on the go – access your business-critical information in more than 145 countries (60 in 3G), with AT&T roaming partners.

AT&T’s LaptopConnect lets you connect to email, the Internet and applications from almost any place you can make a phone call with an AT&T mobile phone.

Stay productive wherever you are – AT&T delivers wireless data access when and where you need it

Built on GSM TM technology – the global standard for wireless communications

Wirelessly access the Internet, your company’s intranet or business applications

Thanks Anne!
