Review: PDair Leather Case for HTC Sensation – Flip Type (Black)

Posted by PPCApache on Oct 26, 2011 | 2 Comments

This week I got my hands on PDair’s Leather Flip Type case for the HTC Sensation, I have been really surprised of late with the style, workmanship and thought gone into some of the Leather cases on the Market today. With the PDair case it brings an added bonus of a belt clip. With this case it has loads of class and style and practicability, giving you credit cards slots for your smart rider card or credit card....

Review: HTC Arrive (Sprint)

Posted by Dan H. on Apr 15, 2011 | 8 Comments

When Windows Phone 7 devices were being unleashed into the world late last year, there was a strange lack of CDMA devices. That means that if you were on Verizon or Sprint (in the US, anyway), you weren’t able to get a Windows Phone 7 device. That’s changed now, with the introduction of the HTC Arrive for Sprint. We’ve been using one for the last couple of weeks, so keep reading for our full review! AKPC_IDS...

The first is the HTC Salsa, which is equipped with a 3.4-inch touchscreen (480 x 320 resolution), 600MHz processor, as long as a 5MP camera with autofocus and a VGA front facing camera. Unreleased HTC devices emerge

Posted by Matt P. on Jan 28, 2011 | 4 Comments

Another day, another android device leaks out. First we have a button-less, iPhone 3GS, Droid Incredible mashup lookalike, which also has a nice Verizon logo on the top. This particular model does not include a front-facing camera that was present in an earlier mock-up, but it does include a dual-LED flash. And that’s about as much as we know. Now, onto the second one. This one was spotted on a train and someone...

HTC Shares New Desires in London

Posted by Zealot on Sep 15, 2010 | 6 Comments

HTC did just what everyone expected them to do in London today, debut the two newest phones in the Android-rocking Desire line, the Desire HD and the Desire Z. Both are running Froyo and HTC’s updated SenseUI, feature 8MP dual flash cameras that can take 720p video and are currently destined for the Asian and Euro markets, though I am sure US versions won’t be far behind. The Desire HD boasts 4.3-inch screen and...

Nokia Shows No Class, No Class At All

Posted by Zealot on Sep 15, 2010 | 9 Comments

This is really sad, since I was actually beginning to think my dismissal of the new Nokia lineup was a bit hasty. The new screen technology seems to be really nice, and there is no denying the N8 and E7 are slick looking phones (if horribly named), even if the software is showing its age. I also enjoyed the tasteful shows of attitude the Nokia execs have been showing at Nokia World, saying they refused to apologize for...

More HTC Tablet Rumors and My Growing Doubts

Posted by Zealot on Sep 15, 2010 | 2 Comments

Digitimes today published a wisp of a rumor about a possible HTC tablet that is interesting just for the timing, since HTC’s Fall event is taking place today in London. HTC is expected to announced at least two new Android handsets, with at least one new addition to the Desire series. On top of that, some analysts have said HTC may be ready to display their rumored Windows Phone 7 handset, the HD7 as well as an Android...

HTC Event in London, September 15th – HD3/7 Time?

Posted by Zealot on Sep 07, 2010 | 2 Comments

Taiwanese phone giants HTC have an invitation only event scheduled for London on September 15th. As is the current fashion for such things, it hasn’t said what it will be announcing and the invitation features just a lot of smoke (how fitting) and the vague hint of a phone, which seems to be the back of a Desire. Pundits and tech fans alike have been guessing about what they have in store. Conventional wisdom holds...

HTC Sense To Appear on WP7, Gingerbread After All

Posted by Zealot on Jul 25, 2010 | 10 Comments

It seems to be the unkillable GUI enhancement. Microsoft has stated clearly they are not going to go the “Windows Mobile”  route with Windows Phone, preferring to keep control of the GUI and “user experience” and refuse vendor specific shells. Google has stated they are developing Android 3.0, code-named Gingerbread, with the same intention…to improve the user experience so they can block all the vendor...

HTC Rides Android to Beat Expectations

Posted by Zealot on Jul 06, 2010 | 1 Comment

Just goes to show…if you release popular, sought after products using the hot new operating system and offer choices on all major telecom providers, you’re going to do OK. HTC certainly is as its high end phones continue to dominate the Android market. That dominance powered HTC to exceed expectation in the second quarter of 2010, making 1.8 billion between April and June. 268 million of that is profit, up a third...

Droid Keeps Android Market In Its Iron Grip

Posted by Zealot on Jul 05, 2010 | 15 Comments

Well, apparently this WAS the Droid you were looking for. Nearly a year after its high profile release, the Motorola Droid is still the most popular Android phone on the market despite a lot of stiff competition. Despite being released back in November of 2009 (ancient history in the smartphone game) the Droid has 21 percent of the Android Market as of May. This is followed by the HTC Hero with 16 percent and the HTC...
