With 3G too! This is a slick looking phone. Asus has pushed out some extrordinary phones and PDAs in the last couple years and this one looks more like a Nokia than a Windows Mobile Device, but it sure sounds like a powerhouse! It’s got a 520MHz XScale CPU, 256MB ROM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 2.0-megapixel camera, BUT… and a big BUT for me… Tri-Band!!! Why do these cool phones do...

I powered up the Treo 700w and 700wx today to check out some of the differences in the devices and it occured to me once again how amazing the Palm Added Value of these phones are. Like the BASF commercials, BASF doesn’t make the product, they make it better. Well, Palm doesn’t make the OS, they make it better. Palm has added some great funtionality to the Windows Mobile OS. To those of you with previous...

Choices – Choices – Choices. There are so many devices out there that it is often difficult to decide just what device is the best to fit your needs. No matter what device you pick, ultimately it has to perform the basic functions that you need and hopefully will have those extras that will reaffirm the...

Sorry for missing a couple days here. Back at it, I have logged many, many minutes of talking on this.
One note of interest. I have recently installed and paired a Garmin Mobile 10 Bluetooth GPS up with the Palm Treo 750. I will have a video of the unboxing and easy set up of this new receiver this weekend. The processing of the GPS Application was very smooth too. I also installed a new application that will be launched...

I have an i-mate JAQ3 Pocket PC Phone that is going to collect dust unless you take it off my hands. I decided this contest would be a little more of a challange than previous ones. Let’s make it a fun. Let’s do a scavenger hunt.
Here’s the plan. Over the next two weeks I will insert keywords into a post either on Mobility Site or Chris.Leckness.com. The keywords will be in a pink color so that they...

It’s not really fair to make day 4 cover 3 days, but it’s my ball and I will take it home if you don’t let me! After all, I went to bed at 4am Saturday Morning and woke up at noon. Then I didn’t sleep again until 1am Monday Morning. (except for 20 min of Chicago’s dismantling of New Orleans in the NFC Championship Game)
Anyhow, so far the Treo 750 has been superb for me. I did find on glitch...

Engadget Mobile got an anonymous tip with a photo of the i760, and it was running Crossbow and has the Verizon logo…
We expect this thing to hit Verizon stores before the first half of the year is out, but with Verizon, Samsung, and Microsoft all potentially weak links in the delivery chain, we’re having a bugger of a time staying positive. Don’t let us down, folks!
As for Crossbow, all I can say is…...

Something that confuses a lot of people, including yours truly, is the WindowsCE/Windows Mobile deal… what’s the difference, are they the same, are keyboards involved?????
Well I’m not confused about this any more, due to an excellent explanation from Microsoft’s own Mike Hall on his Blog…
Windows Embedded CE is a hard real-time, componentized operating system that can be used by developers...

TrustedReviews has a short review of the HP iPAQ rw6815. Overall the impression you get is that it is just OK. In part, they say:
In fact, ‘could do better’ seems like a fair overall judgement on this device. It is a comfortable Pocket PC to use, and not too bulky to carry around. But while it comes up trumps in some areas, most notably built in memory and memory expansion, it lets down in others,...

Today, my Palm Treo 750 got one heck of a workout (again). This time she almost laid down on me before I got her home. The Treo 750 got to its home in the cradle at about 6pm and it was just in time. 2% battery life remaining.
From Palm’s website, the Palm Treo 750 has the following battery specifications:
Removable 1200 mAH Lithium-ionTalk time: up to 4 hoursStandby time: Up to 250 hoursData preserved by persistent...

Last night I told you about my friend from down under Darius Wey’s review of the Gloffish x500. His review has a ton of photos, but it has nothing on this one from Judie Hughes over at Gear Diary.
"What I Like: Easier one handed navigation after the proper “moves” are learned, perfect integration with hard and soft phone buttons, adjustable fontsWhat Needs Improvement: Extent of one-handedness...

Trusted Reviews brings us a very SHORT review of the HP iPaq rw6815 Personal Messenger. This one has been out a while, but still getting new reviews all the time. It really is a looker, but getting mixed reviews. Sandra Vogel wasn’t too happy with the the phone as an MP3 player, 8 hours of music isn’t enough for her.
"Battery life too was not quite what I would have liked. Continuous MP3 playback from...

My buddy Darius over at Pocket PC Thoughts has posted a sick review (sick meaning good sick) of the E-TEN Glofiish x500. This review reminds me of my old Axim reviews, the ones that had at least one picture for each word of the review. It’s a must read.
It’s hard to look down on the Glofiish X500. It’s a top-notch package consisting of quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an FM radio,...

You want to know how well a phone is doing in an evaluation? How few times it “gets” you. When you can go a complete day without getting upset at something it does differently than previous devices, you know you have a good thing! So far, the Treo 750 has not upset me. What is funny to watch is me using this thing one handed as if the screen were not a touch screen. I have gotten so used to smartphones,...

This looker wins an iF product design award 2007. These phones are getting nice and more powerful.

The i-mate JAQ3 is a new Pocket PC Phone that is very similar in style and size to the iPAQ 6900 series. This doesn’t have a built in GPS receiver though. I haven’t used this phone yet, just what you see in the 1st Look so I cannot comment on performance at this time. Check out the video and make sure to keep your eyes out for the full review.

Matt Miller has posted his initial impressions on the JAQ3. Soon to be available in the United States, I think this will become a popular device. What makes me curious about this device is its size as well as AKU 3.2 and TI OMAP850 200 MHz processor I would expect performance to be terrific.
The JAQ3 is a Quad band phone and supports EDGE so I expect my Cingular connection to be excellent. Time...
