For a light news reader, Mippin’s Buzz Widgets allow up to twenty of the latest cloud-sourced news articles in a responsive, easy-to-flip-through interface. Currently, the individual Buzz Widgets come in Mobile, Tech, Gossip, Eco, US Sports, and News flavors.  A large button on the left of the widget acts as a refresh button right on the home screen, although the ability to flip through headlines right on my screen...

My crush on this kind of dynamic widget began with the HTC Hero’s Sense UI. The large flip clock and pretty-but-quick overview of the day’s weather was one of my favorite home screen features on the Hero, but is only ultimately available out of the box on handsets with the Sense UI.
